Retelling of Jesus and the Little Children

STUDY

Matthew 19:13-15

13 Then people brought little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked them.

14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” 15 When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there.

QUESTIONS
Imagine Jesus scolds his disciples because they keep the children away from him.  Why did Jesus' disciples think he wouldn't want to be with children?

Why do you think Jesus welcomes the little children? 
 
What does this tell us about Jesus?

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for loving me and all ages of people.  I feel bad when people don't pay attention to me.  I'm glad you are always there to lift me up when I am sad.  Help me to do the same for others.  In Jesus names, AMEN.
