Worship

Resources

Practice your faith with us through the following resources and remote gatherings:

  • Outdoor Worship will be at 9:00 AM each Sunday in our church parking lot (weather permitting).  Please bring your chairs and masks.  Hand sanitizer and extra masks are provided.  Please sit at least 6 feet away from others.

  • Worship through Zoom meetings at 10:30 AM each Sunday. Click the button below and type in the password "sttimothy," or call 1-929-205-6099 and use the meeting ID 875 1532 2731 and password 382389796. If you don't make it to the service, the recordings are posted here and on YouTube for you to watch.

    • We will share Holy Communion.

      • Please set up your home table with bread/wine or grape juice.

      • Choose a plate and glass that emphasizes the precious and sacred sacrament of Holy Communion.

      • It is recommended to purchase or make a small bread roll that after communion may be consumed with your lunch.  This is part of the sacred tradition of early communion in Corinthians.

      • Wine or grape juice - as a family you may choose to share a common cup or pour the wine into small glasses.

      • Create a space with a cross.

      • If you have young children, invite them to draw and decorate a cross on paper or draw Holy Communion and place their picture(s) in the center of your home table.

  • Devotional resources for individual study are posted below the videos. We encourage you to use this time as an opportunity to strengthen your faith.

  • Additional Zoom meetings for fellowship and educational gatherings can be found by clicking the respective words.

We encourage you to use this time as an opportunity to strengthen your faith through individual studies. The ELCA and Upstate New York SYNOD have provided various devotionals and other resources that you can use. Here are a few to get you started:

The YouVersion Bible App also has a wealth of devotionals to choose from in topics ranging from faith, worship, and forgiveness, to work, marriage, addiction, and fear. You can also choose devotionals geared towards men, women, youth, or kids to better fit your circumstances. YouVersion devotionals can be done right from your smartphone, tablet, or computer by visiting https://www.bible.com/reading-plans or downloading the YouVersion Bible App.

Home Touch Ministries has graciously provided this free, four-day devotional for us to use. If you like word puzzles, this one is for you! You can access it here.

Giving

We humbly ask you to continue your faithful spiritual practice of giving while we are unable to meet in person through Give Plus or Tithe.ly. For more information on online giving, please see our Stewardship page here. If you would feel more comfortable doing so, you may also mail in your support. Thank you for helping us continue our mission through these tough times.

Prayer

Gracious God, it is good for us to gather as your beloved in community. We treasure your presence with us in word and meal, song and prayer. Be with us in these days when gathering together as often as we would like is not possible. When we must be apart for reasons of safety, we trust that you surround us with your sheltering wings. Encourage us in connecting as we are able, reaching out to our neighbors in need and being persistent in prayer. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our constant companion. Amen.
